The short version
The numbers you type — your rent, your debts, your savings — stay on your device. They are never sent to us. The math runs inside your browser.
There is no account or email signup. If you choose to contact support by email, we receive the address and message you send.
We don't sell data, we don't show ads, and we don't connect to your bank.
Where your information actually lives
| Information | Where it goes |
| Your bills, rent, debts, savings, and every figure you enter |
Your device only. Held in this tab while you use the calculator, and written to a file only if you press Save my progress. The site does not place financial figures in cookies, browser storage, or a server database. |
| A transaction CSV or saved plan you choose |
Read inside this tab. The selected file, its name, and its contents are not uploaded. Raw transaction rows are not copied into a saved plan. Derived results you use—such as an annual fee estimate—can be included in a plan you choose to save, and recurring-charge details can be included in a calendar file you choose to create. |
| Files the calculator creates |
A saved plan or optional bills calendar is built in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. We do not receive a copy. |
| Your email address |
Not requested by the calculator. There is no account or email signup. If you email support, Gmail receives and stores the address and message you choose to send. |
| Your text-size choice |
Stored in your browser so the display stays comfortable when you return. It contains no financial information and is never sent to us. |
| Your optional personalization answers |
Held in this browser tab only to shorten and order the calculator. Analytics can count that the questionnaire was started, completed, or skipped, but does not receive the answers you chose. |
| Page visits |
Counted with GoatCounter so we can learn which pages are useful. We receive the page route, date and time, originating website domain, and broad technical details such as browser, operating system, screen width, and country. The site does not set analytics or advertising cookies. |
| Which parts you reached |
We count fixed, anonymous labels for important clicks, the calculator field or section a visitor starts, completed results, and broad scroll milestones. These labels help us see where people stop. They never contain a value you typed, a debt or goal name, a filename, or file contents. |
| Interface performance |
We count fixed, anonymous warning labels when the interface has an unusually slow page change, a failed or slow toggle, a large unexpected layout shift, a displaced summary bar, a long browser task, or a script error. The warning says what kind of problem occurred and the page where it occurred; it never includes a number you entered, page text, a filename, or the contents of a file. A tester who deliberately opens layout diagnostic mode can see and export a more detailed timing log, but that log stays in that browser unless the tester chooses to share it. |
| Technical logs |
Like other websites, the hosting provider receives ordinary request information needed to deliver the page, such as an IP address, browser details, requested URL, and time. Its handling and retention depend on the provider. These requests do not contain the financial figures you type. |
| Page fonts |
Your browser requests the Karla and Bitter typefaces from Google Fonts. Google therefore receives an ordinary font request, but not the financial figures you type or files you select. |
What we never do
- Sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone
- Show you advertising, or let advertisers target you through us
- Connect to your bank or ask for banking credentials
- Ask for your Social Security number, account numbers, or date of birth
- Share what you entered with a partner, lender, or affiliate
- Charge you for something you didn't clearly agree to
- Send any number you typed to our analytics, or anywhere else
Why we built it this way
Financial information is sensitive, and the safest way to protect it is not to hold it. If we don't have your numbers, they can't be leaked, subpoenaed, sold, or lost in a breach.
The trade-off is honest: because we don't store your data, we can't sync it between your phone and laptop, and we can't recover it if you lose your file. That's why the Save my progress button exists. Keep the file somewhere you'll find it.
Your file
When you save, your browser downloads a small file to your device. It's plain, readable JSON — you can open it in any text editor and see exactly what it contains.
That file is yours. Copy it, back it up, or delete it. The site cannot see, recover, or delete downloaded copies. Starting over clears the figures in the current tab but does not delete files you already downloaded.
Anonymous usage analytics
We use GoatCounter to understand visits and improve confusing or unreliable parts of the calculator. It is configured without analytics cookies or advertising trackers. We send only the page route and fixed event labels chosen in advance—for example, that someone started the savings field, reached a result, or encountered a slow page change or displaced summary bar.
GoatCounter processes ordinary request details needed to count visits and produce broad browser, device, location, screen-width, and referral summaries. We do not send the financial figures you enter, text you type, file names, or file contents. Learn more in GoatCounter's privacy information.
The optional layout diagnostic panel is off by default. When a tester opens it, its detailed timeline is held only in that tab and is limited to route names, viewport dimensions, responsive-mode changes, element positions, and elapsed times. It is not sent to GoatCounter or stored by Norzavi.
Links to other sites
The calculator links to public sources and educational pages. Nothing is sent to them unless you choose to open a link. Once you leave this site, the other site's terms and privacy practices apply. This site asks the browser not to include the page address as referrer information.
Email reminders
Email reminders are not offered during this public beta. If they are introduced later, they will be optional and this policy will be updated before any address is collected.
If you email us
If you voluntarily email us, Google receives and stores your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use that information only to read and respond to your message, provide support, and improve the public beta. We do not sell it.
Please do not include account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or the financial figures from your plan. Google's privacy practices apply to email handled through Gmail.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how it's used.
In practice this is simple during the public beta: we do not create visitor accounts or receive the financial figures you enter. Usage reports are aggregate and are not tied to an account. We hold an email address and message only when someone voluntarily contacts support.
Age
This site is for adults. It isn't directed at children, and the public beta does not provide an account or email signup.
Where this is available
The site is intended for people in the United States. Figures are indexed to U.S. price data and the guidance reflects U.S. accounts and terminology.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top and describe the behavior that is actually live before collecting a new kind of information.
